Cathy's Whim - The Voices Of Kristallnacht Remembrance

Cathy’s Remarks
On Tuesday night, I attended the Kristallnacht remembrance at the University of Dayton. It was an incredibly beautiful and moving program, especially with the voices of the World Music Choir. I was in awe at the grace and dignity displayed by the organizers who remembered those who suffered at the hands of Nazi Germany on November 9-10, 1938.

Cathy's Whim - The Power Of Women

This past Sunday, the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton hosted its second Women’s Philanthropy Brunch. Over 45 women came together to celebrate how women of power help change the world.

All through my life I’ve seen how strong, determined women make things happen. My mother (z”l) could move mountains and charm everyone in the process. I grew up with many female roles models. They taught me that many doors are open to us with so many new opportunities.

Cathy's Whim - The Gift Of Mentorship

This past Monday, the Jewish Foundation of Greater Dayton hosted the first LIFE & LEGACY™ training program for potential participants, Why Legacy, Why Now? This program is a 4-year partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. The LIFE & LEGACY program promotes after-lifetime giving to benefit Jewish day schools, synagogues, social service organizations and other Jewish entities. I am proud to say that Dayton was recently accepted into the program.
