Thursday, October 19 @ 7PM @ Oakwood High School Auditorium (1200 Far Hills Ave., Oakwood 45419)

Einstein! explores the young scientist’s earlier years in Berlin as he struggles to prove this theory of relativity and prove his relevance as a father. This play highlights the trials we all face as individuals in a world that at times doesn’t want us to succeed. Actor Jack Fry is an award winning playwright, solo artist, and fully credentialed teacher living in Los Angeles, California.

It’s Berlin 1914, Albert Einstein awaits news from an eclipse expedition that will prove his Theory of General Relativity.  But Einstein is sent sideways in a world crumbling around him due to The Great War, colleagues stealing his theories, being isolated for his pacifist views, a wife who won’t give him a divorce, his failing health, a huge scientific backlash, anti-Semitism, thoughts of suicide, his own self destructive genius and a young son fighting for his father’s affections. Meanwhile he comes up with a theory that changed the way we live our lives today. This is the dramatic true story that ushered in our modern technological age, and certainly the story that made his hair “crazy” and prematurely aged him. Based on the recent release of 15,000 documents about this curious man, Jack Fry breathes life into one of the most intriguing icons of all time.
