Helping kids read Jewishly
PJ Library (PJ stands for pajamas), in partnership with local communities provides families with the gift of free, high-quality children's books, music, and other resources that foster Jewish learning and create a gateway for deeper engagement in Jewish life. Launched in 2005, the program was inspired by Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a literacy program Harold Grinspoon sponsors in Springfield, MA.
Our local chapter of PJ Library is sponsored in partnership by Marcia & Ed Kress and the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton.
Dayton is a thriving Jewish community and PJ Library is just one of the ways we engage. Jewish families, or families raising their children Jewishly in the Greater Dayton area can sign up to receive a free monthly mailing of a Jewish book, CD, or occasionally a parenting book, all of which aim to help explore the core values of Judaism. Sign up today and tell your friends!
