Please join us for a panel discussion with our local rabbis about the recent release of the 20 remaining living hostages taken captive on 10/7, hurdles Israel and Jews throughout the world are still facing, and our hopes for the future.

Moderated by Bonnie Beaman Rice. Panel includes Rabbi Leibel Agar (Beth Jacob Congregation), Rabbi Karen Bodney-Halasz (Temple Israel), Rabbi Judy Chessin (Temple Beth Or), Rav Aubrey Glazer (Beth Abraham Synagogue), and Rabbi Nochum Mangel (Chabad of Greater Dayton).

This class is for people that have had loss in their life, whether recent, in the past, or the future. We will share information about the five stages of grief and other information to help you deal with loss.

Instructor Andy Chaet has been a bereavement counselor/coordinator in the Hospice setting for 14 years. He has extensive experience helping people with grief and loss. He has facilitated grief support groups for children and adults. He has counseled families and loved ones of Hospice patients as well as community members. He has worked as coach, mentor, and teacher. He co-founded a committee on suicide prevention and mental health awareness. He has a BA in psychology from Quinnipiac University and is a certified Grief Support Specialist from the University of Wisconsin/Madison. He and his wife Kathy have recently joined Temple Beth Or.

To lock in the early bird rate, register for the convention or apply for a scholarship before 9/30 at 11:59 p.m. EST! All scholarship applications in before September 30 at 11:59 p.m. will secure the early-bird rate. The Early Bird rate is $299.
