This family-friendly and accessible event is sure to delight everyone who has ever had questions about Judaism or those that simply want to have some fun. With our friends from all faiths\, we enjoy a beautiful day at Temple and learn that we have a lot in common. The festival involves more than 150 Temple volunteers\, who serve food\, perform\, lead tours or explain holidays\, answer questions\, and proudly welcome friends and newcomers to share a Jewish experience.

Facilitator Beverly Farnbacher will help guide a dialogue between attendees\, Felix\, and Larry. Community members of all ages\, including teens\, are invited to take part in this very special conversation. \n4:00 p.m.\nYom Hashoah Memorial Service\nPresentation of the Max and Lydia May Holocaust Art and Writing Contest winners followed by One Survivor’s Story. Cheryl Hecht will share with us the story of her father\, Holocaust survivor David Hochstein\, of blessed memory\, including accounts of his early life\, his family’s forced deportation to Poland\, his rescue by Kindertransport\, and his life as a teenager on his own in London. \n4:00 p.m. (for youth ages 5-12)\nPJ Library & PJ Our Way Program ~ How to Be a Mensch\nChildren are encouraged to join us for a story\, craft\, mitzvah activity\, and snack. We will discuss how people of all ages can make a difference.

DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, November 16\, 2025\n9:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. \nTemple Israel\n130 Riverside Drive\nDayton\, OH 45405 \nJoin our community for a morning of Jewish Education for children in grades preschool-8 as we explore the depths of Israeli culture. Students will choose sessions that explore a variety of personal connections to the land and people of Israel.
