Mitzvah Mission – Hannah’s Treasure Chest & St. Vincent de Paul

FreeBack by popular demand, JFS is hosting another Drive Thru Mitzvah Mission! Help us feed the guests at St. Vincent de Paul’s shelters and provide donations of high need items for Hannah’s Treasure Chest. Prepare frozen, unbaked macaroni and cheese casseroles following the required recipe and directions below. Purchase items from the high need list from Hannah’s Treasure Chest. Drive thru the Boonshoft Center for Jewish Culture and Education (CJCE). JFS will take your donations of frozen casseroles and item donations and provide you with a sweet treat in return. Vincent de Paul Macaroni and Cheese Casserole Recipe (must use, all casseroles must be from the same recipe)
2 lbs (24 oz) elbow macaroni
2 lbs. cheese melted
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of celery soup
2 ½ cups milk
Cook macaroni and drain
Melt cheese separately and add to macaroni. Add milk and soup. Mix well. Pour into sprayed pan. Cover loosely and place in refrigerator until completely cooled. Then cover tightly with sturdy foil lid and freeze. Casserole should be frozen for 36 hours.
