CABF: This Narrow Space with author Dr. Elisha Waldman

Dr. Elisha Waldman spent seven years in Jerusalem treating children—Israeli Jews, Muslims, and Christians, and Palestinian Arabs—who had all been diagnosed with cancer. Waldman spent time in Israel as a teen and medical student, and was thrilled for the opportunity to serve at Hadassah Medical Center to give back to the country he loved. This Narrow Space details both his accomplishments as well as his frustration when politics and cultural differences got in the way of his patients’ care. Waldman shares his experiences in Israel with the constant threat of war, his own questions of identity and belief, and the brave young patients he cared for.

There will be a light dessert reception prior to the event.
