Rabbi Bryna Milkow: Can God Really DO Anything?
July 11 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Both at times of great despair and times of great joy many turn to God; to beg God for help or to thank God for good fortune. But can God really do anything to affect our situation? If not, why do we even bother with our prayers? These fundamental questions are eternal and the answers (if there are any) are elusive. Together we will explore these questions and look for morsels of meaning. Bring your questions, but don’t expect answers!
Rabbi Bryna Milkow serves Congregation Anshai Emeth in Peoria Illinois. She was ordained at HUC-JIR Los Angeles in 2006. She has served congregations large and small in California, Indiana, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania before settling in Peoria. Rabbi Milkow loves to ask questions, especially those without definitive answers. She lives with her cat, Tulie, and her dog, Tessa who never answer her questions.
