On Tuesday night, as we gathered together to mourn the eleven people who were killed this past Saturday at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh and to pray for the injured, something truly inspiring happened to me.
I’ve spent the past week and a half in Israel. It was the “buffet” of missions, where we had the opportunity to partake in a wide variety of experiences.
In the course of five hours today, I had three meetings which focused on the challenges of finding time on the community calendar in which an event or program isn’t already taking place.
I am heartened to know that Federations are working day and night to act as a beacon of light in the midst of this dark time.
The WHIM will be back at the end of the month ~ L’Shanah Tovah!
