As a former Jewish Family Services of Greater Dayton employee, I know first hand about how important their work is. Jewish Family Services takes care of everyone, regardless of sex, religion, sexual preference, age, and the list continues.

When my 8-month old son, Noah, died in 1994, I was completely heartbroken. Losing my only child devastated me.

The Jewish Foundation of Greater Dayton began hosting the LIFE & LEGACY program in the Fall of 2017. Eight community partners joined the program in order to secure legacy commitments for their future.

The fund was established in memory of Barbara Flagel and will honor Barbara’s passion for children’s education. Through this endowment, Barbara’s commitment to the Jewish community will continue for many years to come. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University School of Education, Barbara was always passionate about children’s education.
